Obituary:

"Terry, died on Friday, November 22, 2002. She was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Falls Church and Vienna, Virginia. She attended Marymount High School and Junior College in Arlington, Virginia. In 1969, she married Paul Marschalk, an Air Force pilot who left the service in late 1969 and was hired by PSA as a pilot. They have lived in San Diego for over 32 years. Their daughter, Elizabeth Frances Marschalk, was born in San Diego in January of 1972.

Terry was a stay at home mom who volunteered in the community on a regular basis. Her hobbies included quilting and crafts and she was very active in the Rancho Bernardo Junior Women's Club for over 15 years, and was a past-president. She also worked on various community service projects including those for the American Cancer Society and elderly assistance, (Meal on Wheels. Our "Sweet Therese" left us in her 62nd year of life.

She was a good mother, wife, and friend and she was always there when a friend was in need. Understanding, courageous, kind, unselfish, loving, wonderful, & good natured doesn't begin to describe the kind of woman she was to everyone she met. She struggled with depression and weight her entire life, but in spite of this, she was a courageous woman who reached out and formed meaningful friendships that lasted her entire life. She wanted this surgery to help her win her life long battle over her weight and she so wanted a better quality of life without the pain she had endured for so long. We have always loved her just the way she was and will miss her more than words can ever say.

Dennis, her godson, was born in January of 1991 and she loved being called Grandma Terry and they would go see all the new children's movies; it was their special time together.

Paul, her grandson, was born in July of 1998. She always had something new for him (she loved shopping) and he called her Nana and loved her dearly. Nana let Paul turn her coffee table into a Thomas the Train track play area and would help him construct the tracks.

In addition to her husband Paul, Terry is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Feric & Ante Feric and grandson Paul Feric of Camarillo; her sister Elizabeth Ruppert of McLean, VA; nieces Claire Ruppert of Washington, D.C. and Elizabeth A. Ruppert of Arlington, VA; sister-in-law Kay Marschalk of Farson WY; niece Kathryn Davison of Mills, WY; and nephew Alex Marschalk of Alden, MN."
