Earl M. Pippenger , 86, died January 9, 1997, at the Southfield Health Care Center, Pasadena, TX. He was born in 1910 in Appleton City, MO, to Frank and Lula Pippenger and moved to Sugar Creek. He retired in 1968 from the Standard Oil Refinery after 42 years of service and moved to Climax Springs at the Lake of the Ozarks. In 1974, he and his wife relocated to Tucson, AZ, where they lived until he suffered a stroke in 1989. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, and his brother, James. He is survived by a sister, Bertha Parker, midtown, Kansas City; two daughters, (ed.-living); a son, (ed.-living); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
