At his home on Pearl street, New Hartford, Sunday, occurred the death of Benjamin F. Fox, aged 55. He had been ill about four years. He moved to New Hartford from Vernon several years ago.
In the civil war he enlisted in Co. B, First Battalion, Black River artillery, and later was transferred to Co. D, 10th New York artillery, from which he was honorably discharged, June 23, 1865. He was a faithful member of the First M. E. church. Surviving are his wife and three children, Ida, Mabel and Byron Fox; also three brothers, Ozias E., of Long Island, K. and H. S. Fox of Governeur.
