Frank A Kimple, 68, lifelong resident of Buchanan Valley, brother of John J Kimple, Chambersburg Street; Theodore V Kimple and Miss Jennie S Kimple, Carlisle Street, died at his home Tuesday evening at 8:10 of pneumonia and a heart condition after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Kimple, admitted to the Annie M Warner hospital on December 29th in a serious condition, has not been told of her husband's death because of her critical condition today. Friends of Mrs. Kimple today said she is "desperately ill."
Mr. Kimple was the youngest son of Theodore P and Helena (Miltenberger) Kimple, and was born in Buchanan Valley where he has always resided.
He was a farmer for many years and for some time was engaged in the lumber business.
He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Mary E O'Brien, and the following children;
Mrs. Roland Kane, Biglerville RD2; Mrs. Arthur Kane, Biglerville; Mrs. Dewey Bucher, Buchanan Valley, Edger F Kimple, McKnightstown; Eugene O Kimple and Dale T Kimple at home; four grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; John J Kimple and Theodore V Kimple, Gettysburg; Henry W Kimple, Buchanan Valley Miss Catherine Kimple, Buchanan Valley; Mrs. George Kane, Franklin township, Mrs. Rueben Erickson, Chicago; and Miss Jennie S Kimple, Gettysburg.
Mr. Kimple was a lifelong member of St. Ignatius Catholic church, Buchanan Valley.
Funeral services Saturday morning meeting at the home at 9:15 with a requiem high mass at 10:00 in
St. Ignatius church, the Rev. Fr. W. W. Whalen officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
