Ms. Dale Anice Duke Coger 1945-2011
Funeral service for Ms. Dale Anice Duke Coger, 65, of Daviston will be Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Daviston Independent Methodist Church. Bro. Ray Dunn and Bro. Mark Rasbury will officiate. Burial will follow in the Darian Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

On April 25, 2011, Dale D. Coger was called away from this world to await our Lord. After a glorious life filled with wonderful memories, friends and family, she passed away at the age of 65.

Ms. Coger was born on Sept. 6, 1945 to William Perry "Bud" Duke and Jackie Duke, who both preceded her in death. She had a sister, Allison Mescha, who lives with her spouse, Maddy and daughter, Allie. Ms. Coger retired from Alabama Dept of Public Safety in 2010 after 28 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed every moment of her time there and was blessed with an overwhelming number of good friends. Upon retirement, she moved to Daviston, AL to surround herself with her "little angels", Mary Carol, Clark, Becca, Katie, and Jenna. They all loved and will miss "Moma Dale". Her spouse, Hugh Coger, and step mother, Ruth Duke Young also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Natalie Haynes and husband, Joe of Daviston; step-sons, Shane and Patrick Coger, both of Alexander City and her six grandchildren, Emily Rasbury (Mark), Sabrina Wood (Teron), Marshall Coger, Skylar Coger, Chroistopher Coger and Kevin Coger. She is also survived by a long time devoted friend, W.T. Smith of Greenville. Ms. Coger's smile could light up a room, and her laughter was contagious. She could remember everyone's name and was truly a loving caring and genuine lady who was a blessing to all that met her.

Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City is in charge of arrangements.
