Joseph Eugene Arduser, 94, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Sigourney Care Center. Joseph was born in Ryan, Iowa, to Joseph Eugene and Martha Everet Arduser on June 26, 1916. He spent most of his younger years in Washington, Iowa. After serving eight years in the Navy during World War II, Joe married Elsie Morse on November 29, 1946. Several years later, they moved their family to Sigourney. He worked for the Iowa Highway Department before retiring in 1978.

He is survived by his sons, Myron(Terry)Arduser and Donald(Anne)Arduser of Sigourney and Kenneth(Renay)Arduser of Indianola; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; a sister, Dora Bruegge; brothers, Dorence, Harlan and Harold; daughter Phyllis Wickenkamp; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral Monday 10:30 am Holm Funeral Home. Burial East Cemetery, Sigourney. Visitation Sunday May 1, 2011 4-8 pm. Memorials may be made to the family.
