Mr. Aggen was born May 5, 1890, in Evergreen Park, Chicago, the son of Cornelius and Jennie Smith Aggen. He was educated and reared in Chicago and attended the Lincoln School in Union Grove. He had farmed in the Morrison area since 1909. He was a member of Spring Valley Reformed Church and a charter member of Whiteside County Farm Bureau.
Survivors incluide two sisters, Mrs. Anthony (Mae) Remmers, and Mrs. Peter (Alice) Wiersema, Morrison; two brothers, Neil Aggen, Morrison; and Henry Aggen, Fulton; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, one brother Peter; a brother in infancy and one sister, Ann.
