Wren E. Brisson, a Moscow native and tri-state region resident all her 84 years, died at 8:07 a.m., Wednesday at Lewiston Convalescent Center of infirmities of age.
Mrs. Brisson was born January 7, 1893 to Morgan and Matilda French. They lived on the Palouse until 1897 when they moved to Methow, Washington in the state's northeastern corner. In 1910 she moved to Ellensburg, Washington where she lived until 1963.
She lived at La Grande, Oregon from 1963 to 1974 and had been a patient at the Lewiston Nursing Home since then. Mrs. Brisson was educated at a country school on her father's ranch in the Methow Valley. She married Oliver Bisson t Winthrop, Washington, October 26, 1910. He died April 9, 1972. Mrs. Brisson was an accomplished seamstress and made her children's clothing.
She is survived by three sons, Charles French and Homer Brisson, both of Orofino, and Barton B. Brisson of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Olive E. Swan of Clarkston and Claudine Gilkison of Union, Oregon; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday at Merchant Funeral Home at Clarkston. The Rev. Leonard Harold of the Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be at LaGrande City Cemetery at 3 p.m.
