Passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2005 in Yakima, WA. Aasta was born Oct. 21, 1908 to John and Petra (Dinesen) Didricksen in Torgehatten, Norway. She immigrated to the U.S. with her mother and three siblings in 1911 to join their father. Five more children were born after they came to the U.S. The family made their home on Puget Island, WA. Aasta later moved to Manchester, WA where she met her future husband, Alfred Reuter. They were married Sept. 9, 1931 and lived in Manchester until 1940. They moved from Manchester to Seattle in 1940 and celebrated their 59th anniversary there prior to Alfred's death in 1990. Aasta moved to Yakima in 1998 to live near her daughter and son-in-law. Aasta was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (David) Edgerton of Yakima, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be from Noon until the Vigil Service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 31 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, Yakima. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 1 in the Chapel of Holy Family Parish, Yakima. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Holyrood Cemetery, Shoreline. Keith & Keith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
