Linda M. Crumpler, 60, of Midlothian, went to be with her Maker on Sunday, May 15, 2005.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Edward H. Crumpler; her son, E. Hugh Crumpler Jr. and his fiancee, Christy Dawkins, and their children, Michael Crumpler and Justin Dawkins; her daughter, Leigh Crumpler Shavit and her husband, Arthur; her daughter, Tracy Crumpler Tagnesi and her husband, Todd, and their children, Jacob and Justin Tagnesi; one sister, Betsy Hudgins and her husband, Dan, of Goldsboro, N.C.; one niece, three nephews, one great-niece, four great-nephews; and one sister-in-law, Joan C. Joyner of Raleigh, N.C.

Linda was a loving, caring mother and proud grandmother. Her motto was "Live well, laugh often, love much." She will be greatly missed by her loving friends, especially "The Golden Girls" and the "N.C. Beach Buddies."

Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and where funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interment Dale Memorial Park.

Linda Lee McCormick was the daughter of James Grady McCormick.

She married in Wayne Co., NC, July 25, 1964, Edward Hugh Crumpler, b. April 3, 1941.

She graduated from Goldsboro (NC) High School, Class of 1962.
