Elsie Wade Works Lyons, 88, of cynthiana, Ky., died Monday, July 26, 2010, at her residence.

She was born in Harrison County, Ky., Sept 25, 1921 to the late Raymond Hughes and Violet M. Florence Works, Sr. She was a member of Benson United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church. She retired from retail management after 30 years of service having worked at Newberry's, Lerman's and Ben Franklin's. She and her husband had also farmed for several years.

Survivors include her husband, Garnett H Lyons and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Her brother, Raymond H. Works, Jr. preceded her in death.

Services were held Wednesday, July 29 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by the Rev. Everett Bill Wilson and the Rev. Earl Litman. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Benson United Methodist Church of First Church of God.

Pallbearers were: Richard Thompson, Todd Lane, Danny Helton, Troy Lane, Tod Freeback and Ronnie Turner.
