Gwennie Rees was born on September 17, 1885 in Malad City, Oneida, Idaho to Moroni Rees and Emily Vaughn.
She was a member of the LDS Thirteenth Ward.
Gwennie married John Henry Miller on January 9, 1907 in the Salt Lake City Temple, Salt Lake, Utah.
They were the parents of ten children:

She was preceded in death by her sons Leslie John Miller, and George Raymond Miller.
She was survived by her husband, and the following sons and daughters: Philip Moroni Miller, Ogden; Thomas Oliver Miller, Pleasant Grove; Virgil Lincoln Miller, Roy; Vaughn Vernon Miller, Ogden; Kenneth Ray Miller, Farr West; Mrs. Emily Caroline Miller (Guy) DeSpain, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Vera Gwennie Miller (Allen) Stimpson, Roy; Mrs. Betty May Miller (Richard) Ross, Layton.
She was also survived by 40 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister: Gomer V. Rees, and Mrs. Emily Thomas, of Ogden; Dr. Thomas Richard Rees, Washington, D.C.
