Florence W. Miller, 94, of Fort Wayne, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001, at Covington Manor, Fort Wayne. The Grant Parish, La., native was a member of South Wayne Baptist Church and its Faith Circle. She was a lifetime member of Order of the Eastern Star in Louisiana, and a member of Columbine Garden Club, Reserve Officers ladies auxiliary, Fort Wayne Rescue Mission Auxiliary, and a charter member of ACRES.

Surviving are her husband, Meritt L.; a son, Douglas P. Brooks of Fort Wayne; a sister, Vera Brown of Alexandria, La.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials are to the church or Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
