He was born March 24, 1917 in Noble County, the son of Harry and Erma (Myers) Blake. A lifetime area resident, he retired from Essex Co. where he was a production worker.
He was a WW II Army veteran and member of West Noble American Legion.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Sexton of Ligonier, and Cindy Green of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sons, Michael of Chattanooga, and Dennis of (line missing) Holiday of Auburn, Sheila Jones and Mrs. Wesley (Eileen) Haines Jr., both Kendallville, and Mrs. LaMar (Marjorie) Ruhl of Angola; and 11 grandchildren.
A daughter, two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Services Wednesday in Berhalter-Hutchins Funeral Home, Kendallville. Burial, Woodruff Cemetery.
