She was a member of the United Christian Presbyterian Church in Coleman.

"Era V, with great difficulty, gave up her home and car and moved to Holiday Hill in March, 2004. The family wishes to offer the Staff of Holiday Hill their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for their devoted and loving care of Era V. Through Era V's love of her dogs, Chris, Kim and Buffy, she became endeared to Lynn Thompson, her angel and caretaker throughout her later years for which the family will be forever thankful."
