Ms. Herrin was born October 18, 1913, in Yazoo County, Mississippi. She was the third child of Charles C. and Mabel Martin Herrin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mignon Herrin Alward and brothers, L.C. and Curtis Herrin.
Ms. Herrin was a registrar at Hinds Jr. College for 30 years. After retirement she worked in the tax assessors office (from 1973-1984 as Deputy Clerk) at the Yazoo County Courthouse for a number of years.
"Aunt Millie" is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends and by her church family at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church. She was beloved by all.
Pallbearers are Richard Lunceford, Robert Lunceford, Henry Jakubowski, Ross Nesbit, Donald Lunceford, Todd Rowbury, Johnny Nesbit, and Bill Starnes.
