MRS. JAMES F. DENTON DIES AT RESIDENCE ON CALHOUN STREET
Mrs. Laura Louisa Kent Denton, wife of James F. Denton died at the residence, 735 Calhoun street yesterday morning after an illness of eleven months. She was in the 78th year of her age.
Funeral services will be held at the Stapleton Methodist church this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Dr. Wills M. Jones will officiate and intermet will be in the Loftin cemetery in Jefferson County.
Pallbearers who are requested to meet at the church at 2:45 o'clock will be John Jones, J. C. Kilgore, John Waldon, L. R. Hobbs, William Stapleton and Lee Rabun.

Mrs. Denton was a native of Jefferson county but had lived in Augusta for the past 24 years. She was a devout member of the St. James Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, the deceased is survived by three step-children, Mrs. C. C. Dixon of Macon, Mrs. G. A. Rabun of Augusta, and J. Fred Denton of Macon, and one sister, Mrs. Jim Lefister of Augusta.

James Franklin Denton and Laura Louisa Kent were married between May-August 1902. They had no children.
