Rigby--Walter chapple, 90, died in an Idaho FAlls hospital Sunday of causes
incident to age.

He was born July 1, 1890 at Spanish Fork, Utah to Joseph and Margaret Hannah
Roach Chapple.

He married Mabel J. Bates at Park City, Utah. The marriage was solemnized i the
Salt Lake City LDS Temple Jan. 25, 1912. She died in 1963.

He later married Ruby Wolfensberger Oct. 9, 1964. She died in 1973. He was a
high priest in the LDS Church and a member of the Milo Ward building committee.
He worked on the Old Folks committee for 52 years. He served on the board of
directors of Harrison Canal Company for 40 years and was president for 25 years.
He served as president Great Feeder Canal for 20 years. He was elected to the
Water Users Hall of Fame in Boise Dec. 9, 1976.

Survivors include two sons, Walter Russell of Idaho Falls and Earl of Rigby; two
daughters, Mrs. Margaret Mason and Mrs. Norton (Lucille) Ker, both of Ririe; a
sister, Mrs. Lyndon (Ruth) Dudley of Salt Lake City; 25 grandchildren and 28
great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Rigby LDS Stake Center with
Bishop C. Richard Broulim officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday
7:30-9 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel and Wednesday from 11:30-12:30 p.m.
at the church.

Burial will be at the Milo Cemetery.
