Estelle Lorraine Stadig was born April 23, 1919, at Glentana, Mont The family later moved to Eugen where she graduated from high school in 1935.
On Dec. 24, 1941 she married Gilbert "Bun" Hodgen, at Eugene. Mr Hodgen entered the Navy shortly after their marriage and served during World War II. After his discharge from the Navy, they moved to Pendleton.
Mrs. Hodgen was involved in community service and volunteer work for the AMerican Cancer Society Cotillion, the Umatilla County Elections Department, and she volunteered for Red Cross Blood Drives.
She enjoyed reading and enjoyed her family and took a special interest in her grandchildren.
Mrs. Hodgen was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Pendleton.
