Reba B. Shelley, 81, Grayson, Ga., formerly of Kokomo, went home to be with the Lord at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Ga.
She was born July 22, 1928, in Albany, Ky., the daughter of Perry and Cololus (Dalton) Neal.
On Aug. 28, 1948, in Glasgow, Ky., she married Leonard M. Shelley, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Shelley worked at Stellite (Cabot Corp.) at Kolux and also at St. Joseph Hospital.
She was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford, Ga., and enjoyed taking part in the activities of the church.
She also enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Ann and Roger Cash, Kokomo; son and daughter-in-law, Bill McKinley and Gene (Welden) Shelley, Grayson, Ga.; seven grandchildren and spouses, Shelley (Martin) and David Palermo, Katy, Texas, Lori (Cash) and Eric Meacham, Jackie (Cash) and Matthew Gray, and Scott Cash, all of Kokomo, Jennifer (Shelley) Compton, Fernandina Beach, Fla., Laura Shelley, Dahlonega, Ga., and William Shelley, Grayson, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Dylan and Aimee Palermo, all of Katy, Texas, Eric, Kayla and Haley Meacham, all of Kokomo, Alexandria and Kaitlyn Compton, Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Emma and Ethan Shelley, Grayson, Ga.; sister, Florence Butler; brother, Herbert Neal; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her three sisters, Lilly Moffit, Lillian Rednour and Flonnie Abston; and her four brothers, Gilbert Neal, Hobart Neal, James Neal and Leonard Neal.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, Ga., and 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Talbott Funeral Home, 1106 N. Cross St., Albany, Ky.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Talbott Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Cave Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
