Glenn Willis Gorrell, 97, Lewistown, Mo., died Thursday, September 19, 2002, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill. Born August 24, 1905, near Canton, the son of Willis P. and Mabel Butz Gorrell. He never married. Mr. Gorrell attended Gravel Hill School, and was a member of Bluff Springs United Methodist Church, near Canton. He farmed all of his life and helped others. Survivors include six nephews: Travis Gorrell, and David Gorrell, both of Canton; Willis Gorrell, LaBelle; Steven Clark, Kennewick, Wash.; Glen Clark, Flat Rock, Newfoundland, and Ardie Clark, Moss Beach, Calif.; three nieces, June Schempp, Warsaw, Ill.; Dorothy Gorrell, Durham, Mo.; and Ellen Sterner, Casselton, N.D.; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul and Ralph Gorrell; and two sisters, Bertha Clark and Louise Quinn. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 28, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Davis Funeral Home, Canton. Graveside services and inurnment of cremains will be held Saturday, September 28, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at Bluff Springs Cemetery, near Canton, officiated by Rev. Rebecca Dunger Peak. Memorials may be made to Bluff Springs Cemetery Association Perpetual Care Fund.
