He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and had lived in South Georgia and North Florida since 1974. He graduated from Charlton County High School in 1978. He was a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church.
He is survived by 2-Children: Brandi Leigh Rhoades and Ryan Keith Brown; his parents: Amos Merrill Brown and Sara Elizabeth Stewart Brown; a brother: Joseph Merrill Brown; a sister: Nola Rebecca Salko; 2-Grandchildren: Kate and Jayden Rhoades; and a number on nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends April 29 at Shepard Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 30 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Dr. Reggie Herrin officiating.
Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
