Jimmie retired in 2005 after working 42 years at Terminal Railroad in Madison, Ill. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan and pet lover.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmie Michael Hazelwood; a daughter, Kimberly Hazelwood; his parents, Vernon and Mayme, nee Thompson, Hazelwood; and a sister, Charlotte Murray.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy R., nee Milam, Hazelwood; his children, Dawn (Christopher) Shaw, Jimmie I. (Brenda) Hazelwood, Jr., Michelle Flick and Rick (Amanda) Oliver; his grandchildren, Christopher, Alexis and Angelina Shaw, Coryn and Brooke Hazelwood and one on the way, Emily Rose Oliver; a sister, Phyllis (Dave) Kirby of Collinsville, Ill.; a brother, Vernon (Betty) Hazelwood; his beloved pet, Toby Tyler; and many nieces and nephews.
