Only one of Ross' & Eupha's 12 children who died in infancy. His death certificate states he died from influenzal meningitis at Aston Park Hospital in Asheville NC.

My dad remembers his baby brother as a big, happy baby who was always smiling; Tommy took sick quickly and spent several weeks in the hospital before he died. Grandmother was with him all the time.

Tommy was survived by his parents, two brothers, Max and Donald, seven sisters, Evelyn, Doris, Frances, Helen, Marie, Barbara, and Mary June, paternal grandmother, Malissia Metcalf Buckner; maternal grandparents, Jim & Hester Rice Burrell; and maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Messer Hensley.
