MADISON — Sidney G. Baer, age 80, of 1825 Heath Ave., Madison, died on Sunday, February 26,1989, in a Madison hospital. He was born on May 7, 1908, at Woodstock, Illinois, the son of Ora and Agnes (Muldoon) Baer. He was a retired employee of the Madison Gas and Electric Company and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Erna Seling; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia (Clinton) Harrison of Green Bay, Eloise (Robert) Lehmann of Fitchburg, and Suzanne (the Reverend Jon) Wolff of Boyd, Minnesota; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard (Kathleen) Baer of Madison; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 1989, at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., with the Reverend Steven P. Peterson officiating. Burial will in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 P.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 1989, and after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church at the SCHROEDER-CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 East Washington Ave. The family requests that memorials be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
