LEWIS-Elzia E. McKinney, 71, of Lewis, died Thursday afternoon at Gleason Hospital, Larned, after a long illness. Born Dec. 11, 1896, in Harrison County, Ind., he married Edith E. Guthrie, Aug. 12, 1924, at Lewis. A farmer, he had lived here since 1911.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include the widow; sons, Arthur L., Brookfield, Mo.; Gerald D., John E., and Carl E., all of Lewis; brother Sherman, Lewis; sisters, Mrs. Purva Wilson and Mrs. Mable Brown, both of Lewis; Mrs. Stella Lucas, Johnson; Mrs. Catherine Harness, Topeka; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church, Lewis; Rev. Ben Finley. Burial will be at Wayne Cemetery, Lewis. Friends may call at Mckillip Memorial Funeral Home.
