Charles N. Birney, 76 Lifelong Aston Resident Charles N. Birney, 76 died April 21, 2011 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Chester, Mr. Birney was a lifelong Aston resident. He was previously employed at Penn Delco School District and Riddle Memorial Hospital. He was husband of the late Laura M. Willoughby Birney, son of the late Samuel and Delia Nye Birney and brother of the late Gertrude Wooters, Betty Irwin and Samuel Birney. Survivors: Sisters Dorothy Sloan and Ella Mae Cathcart; brothers Walter and Robert Birney; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1 PM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston Calling after 12 Noon in the funeral home.
