William E. Clickner, 73, a retired Kellogg Co. employee and resident of Battle Creek since 1916, died at 10.00 p.m. Thursday in his home, 19 Maple Court, after a six months' illness. While he had been in failing health of several years, his condition did not become serious until last December. He was born December 7, 1873, in Lockport N.Y., the son of Daniel and Phoebe Clickner. He married Jessie E. Warren in Battle Creek, Nov. 18, 1923, nine years after coming here from Hillsdale county, where he lived for several years. He began work for the Kellogg Co, Feb 21, 1927 and was retired December 7, 1940. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Earle and Merton Clickner of Kalamazoo; two step-sons, Cecil Englehardt of 9 Seedorff and Donald L. Englehardt of 35 Vale; three step-daughters, Mrs. Lillian Eckles of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Beatrice M. Brandimore of 59 Vale, and three grandchildren.
