Funeral services for Mrs. Reba Gay McGriff, age 61, of Manchester, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marvin Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in the Farrar Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the McGriff family will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 26 at the funeral home. Mrs. McGriff passed away on Sunday at Medical Center of Manchester.
Mrs. McGriff was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late Elder Jimmie Lee and Claty Lee Arnold Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGriff was preceded in death by two brothers, Dillard and Elder Jerry Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jodie McGriff; one son, Elder Johnny (Regina) McGriff of Manchester; three daughters, Rhonda (Mark) Nebel, Lisa (Davy) Stout; and Tina (Elder John) Daniel, all of Manchester; three brothers, Elroy (Virginia) Anderson of Smyrna, Don (Linda) Anderson and Elder Lynn (Dianne) Anderson, both of Manchester; three sisters, Bertha (Aaron) Shelton, Annell Black, and Jeannie (Wayne Douglas) Freeze; five grandchildren, Andy Stout, Arin Stout, Abby Stout, Macey McGriff, and Kylie McGriff.
The family requests donations be made in Mrs. McGriffs memory to Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, 3240 Farrar Hill Road, Manchester, TN 37355.
