Thomas Howard Throckmorton, 82, of 604 Nelson street, Grove City, a native of Greene County, died in his home after a six-week illness at 10 a.m. Friday, October 30, 1964.

A son of E. Reed Throckmorton and Samantha Hill Throckmorton, he was born December 19, 1891 in Center Township, where he operated a farm until 1932. At that time he moved to Mercer County and continued farming until his retirement a year ago.

Mr. Throckmorton attended Waynesburg College; was a member and past master of London Grange, and was a member of the Center United Presbyterian Church at Grove City, where he was an elder.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice Church Throckmorton, whom he married November 26, 1914; two sons, Thomas R. Throckmorton, of Grove City, and Morford C. Throckmorton, of Akron, Ohio; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He was the last of his family. Three sisters, Alice, Nannie and Josephine, are deceased.
