Hazel Young Clark, 84, of Stuart died Sunday, May 4, 2003, at R.J.R.-Patrick Community Hospital.

She was born Oct. 5, 1918 to the late Harbert and Katherine "Kate" King Young.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Young, Esther McMillian; and one brother, Clinton Young.

She attended the Blue Ridge School in Ararat and graduated from Radford University. She was a teacher for 34 years in Richmond, Harrisonburg, and Patrick County. She was a member of the Pink Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and the Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving are her husband, Martin F. Clark of Stuart; and a son, Martin F. Clark Jr., also of Stuart.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stuart Presbyterian Church with Revs. Bucky Hunsicker, Jim Churchwell, and George Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Stuart Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.

The funeral for Hazel Young Clark, 84, of Stuart, who died May 4, 2003, was held Wednesday at Stuart Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Bucky Hunsicker, Jim Churchwell and George Goodman officiating. Burial was in the Stuart Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leonard Wood, Larry Hutchens, James Pendry, Mica Williams, James Martin, Joe Cobbler, Eddie Turner, Kelly Witt and Samuel M. McMillian Jr.

Arrangements were by Moody Funeral Home.
