Lyman B. Shader of Gainesville died January 24, 1929 at his home. He was born August 12, 1860 in Bergen the son of Gilbert and Sarah Secor Shader. He was a painter and mason by trade having lived in Gainesville for the last ten years. His first wife, Mary Cook died in 1913, his second wife, Mary Neygus Wolcott, survives him. He also leaves a son, Charles E. Shader of Utica; two stepsons, Julius and Basil Wolcott of Gainesville; eleven grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters, Laura Warren of Los Angeles, Cal., Edward B. Shader of Brockport, Ma., Seth Shader of Bainbridge, Frank Shader of Ft. Collins, Co., and Mrs. Charles Mann of Pueblo, Ca. Following rites burial took place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville.

And with his father, Lyman Shader, went on to visit Mr. & Mrs. Peter Shader.--Refer to findagrave #118621928, believe this is the son of Lyman, Charles Shader, WW1 veteran serving in US Navy. Enlisted at start of War, was in France at Brest, patrolled in North Sea searching out submarines. See WNY March 28, 1918 for this information.)
