KETTEMAN - April 2 near Arendtsville, Peter Ketteman, aged 72 years 6 months and 20 days.
Was believed, for some reason, Peter was left with people in Cashtown area of Adams County, PA as they traveled with other German Settlers from the Germany Colony, Berks County, PA to western Virginia, now West Virginia.
It may have been that Daniel and Colney simply could not care Peter. An Adoption paper has been located at the Adams County PA Historical Society for the adoption of Peter, but no information of the adoption was found. It is assumed he was raised as a Ketterman.
