Ray Keefer, 73, 547 Philadelphia Ave, King of Prussia, formerly of Gettysburg R. 2, died Saturday afternoon at 4:30 at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. And Mrs. Frank George, with whom he had resided. He had been in declining health for some time.
Born in Franklin county, he was a son of the late Abraham and Annie (Fortna) Keefer, and was a member of Flohr’s Lutheran Church.
He was employed by the Adams Electric Cooperative for 23 years, retiring about eight years ago.
He was a member of the Cashtown Fire Company and of the Cashtown Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife the former Nora G. Weikert, to whom he had been married 48 years; his daughter, Mrs. Janet George, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 from the Monahan Funeral Home, Carlisle, St., with his pastor, Rev. Douglas Y. Boden officiating. Interment will be in Flohr’s Cemetery.
