Elsie attended Belleview Elementary and graduated from Sonora High School Class of 1936.
She was the first female bus driver in Tuolumne County.
Elsie was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Native Daughters of the Golden West.
Mrs. Longeway is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Longeway) Dutra and Nelda Longeway, her brother, Innes Ralph Robertson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lee Robertson and Abby Elsie (Wilber) Robertson, her husband, Hubert W. Longeway; her son, Daniel Lee Longeway, her brother, Wilbur Robertson.
