Funeral services for Ernest Acuna, 61, of El Dorado, were held Monday, October 6, at Chapel of the Pines with Father Thomas O'Brien of St. Patrick's church conducting the service. Interment was in the El Dorado cemetery under the direction of American Legion post 119.
Mr. Acuna died October 2 in a Sacramento hospital. He was born in Sacramento and lived all his life in California, the past 5 years in El Dorado county.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Acuna was an aircraft mechanic at McClellan Air Force Base.
He is survived by his mother, Julia Acuna of El Dorado; brother of Myrtle Shuster of El Dorado, Gladys LaForte of Sacramento and John Acuna of Citrus Heights."
