Mrs. Jimmie Jones (Nellie Bert-Jones), a pioneer citizen at Verden passed away at the Wesley hospital in Oklahoma City, Tuesday night at 11 o'clock. Mrs. Jones had only been in the hospital about a week where she had undergone an operation.
Deceased's body was taken to Anadarko Wednesday and was brought here for burial Thursday.
The general services were held at the Methodist church Thursday at 2 p. m., with Rev. Methvin of Anadarko officiating, and interment made in Verden cemetery.
Mr. Jones (James Nelson Jones) is critically ill at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Dempsey, east of town, he had a stroke of paralysis Sunday
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband and tw0 children, Mrs. Frank Love, Bill and Duke Jones of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Ralph Courtney, Eva and Ada Bell of Anadarko; Jimmie Jones of Chickasha; Mrs. Robert Dempsey and Mrs. Earl Melton of Verden.
