Raymond B Sullivan, 90 passed away Sunday morning April 17, 2011 at the Sterling House of Richmond where he had been a resident since April 2008. His daughter, grand daughter and great grandson were able to be with him just before he passed away. Ray was well liked by the residents as well as the staff for his positive outlook on life..
As a US Veteran of World War II, he served his country in the weapons instructor and also as a Military Police at Fort Hood, Texas where he met and married his first wife, Mildred Beth McClendon Sullivan, who preceded him in death in 1982. They had two children, a son Robert Blaine Sullivan who preceded him in death in 1999 a daughter Dorothy M. (Doti) Young, who survives and lives in Archbold, Ohio. Ray and Mildred owed a farm near Loocust Grove in Franklin County for 32 years, where they enjoyed farming, fishing,gardening, traveling and entertaining their family. He retired in 1982 after working for Roots Connersville Blower as an electrician for 32 years.
In 1984 he married his second wife. Stella Allen Morrison who preceded him in death in 2007. They lived in briefly lived in Brookville and later moved to Connersville. Ray also survived by his grand-daughter, Alicia Young and great grandson Dylan Young, who live in Broadview Hieghts, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held a 1 pm Wednesday April 20,2011 at Miller, Moster,Robbins Funeral Home with Father Stanley J Herber officiating.
