Mrs. Dorothy Victoria Clark Hicks, 96, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 4:10 P.M., Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home.
She was born July 28, 1913 in Jewell City, KY to the late Joseph E. and Nellie Edith Newcom Clark. She is also preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.
Mrs. Hicks was a member of the International Society of Dance Masters (Ballroom), Lamplighter Dance Club, Rosary and Alter Society of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Phi Sigma Alpha Sorority, California Beta Sigma Chapter, Soroptimist Club of Ventura.
She is survived by one brother, Thomas Eugene Clark of Madisonville and several nieces and nephews
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 7, 2009 at Christ The King Catholic Church with Father Gerald Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour on Monday at Christ The King Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Steve Clements, Joe Ed Blakeley, Joe E. Clark, Joe Clark, Trent Clark and MC Barber.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the Green River Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the church.
