Mrs. Hattie Hoffman Bartelt, wife of Charles Bartelt, died at 3:25 o'clock Sunday at her home in East Dundee following several months illness. Death resulted from tuberculosis.

Hattie Hoffman was born in Elgin, September 8, 1892 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffman. She resided in Elgin from the time of her birth until her marriage to Mr. Bartelt a few years ago and was educated in the public schools of that city.

She was a member of St. John's German Lutheran church of Elgin, but had been a regular attendant at Immanuel Church until her illness.

She is survived by her husband, three small children, Marie, Gertrude and Herman, her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William Hoffman; three sisters, Misses Lillie, Gertrude and Marie Hoffman of Elgin, and one brother, William.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o'clock from Immanuel Lutheran Church, in charge of Rev. Paul Doederienin, pastor of Immanuel Church, and Rev. J. W. Kowert, pastor of the Elgin Church of which the deceased was a member. Burial will be in the West Dundee Cemetery.
