Oliver J Fritz, 79, a native of Adams County, died in the Lancaster county hospital Wednesday afternoon at 12:15 following an illness of five months.
He was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Mary (Shaner) Fritz. He resided in Hanover about 40 years and was employed at the D. E. Winebrenner Canning Company during that time. Mr. Fritz was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Hanover. Recently he resided with his niece, Mrs. John Reiggle, Lancaster. His wife, the former Vergie C Herring, died February 4, 1931.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George Herring and Mrs. Luther Bushey, both of Orrtanna, and two half-sisters; Mrs. Calvin Lochbaum, Orrtanna, and Mrs. Jerry Biesecker, Mt. Joy, Pa..
Funeral services today at 2:00 from the Bender funeral home conducted by the Rev Victor A Carlson, assistant pastor of St. Matthews Lutheran church, Hanover. Interment in Flohr’s cemetery.
