Mary was the child of William Blackstock and Hannah Wright Blackstock.

"Mary Ann (Mollie) Blackstock, b. March 5, 1831, Forsyth Co. [Georgia], d. October 14, 1887; married February 14, 1850, Forsyth Co. [Georgia], to William Martin Montgomery [...]

William and Mollie were dismissed from Sharon Baptist Church by letter in 1869, the year they moved to Texas. Nine children were born of this marriage (first eight in Forsyth County):

(1) John Freeland Montgomery, b. Nov 6, 1850, d. Sept. 10, 1933, Tioga, Texas; [married] Mary E. Reed.
(2) James L. Montgomery, b Oct 24, 1854, d June 19, 1896 in Brinkman, Okla; married Lizzie Harwell.
(3) William Newton Montgomery, b. Dec 23, 1856, d. March 15, 1930 in Abilene, Texas; married Hannah Temple.
(4) Hannah Jane Montgomery, b. Nov 25, 1858, Feb 28. 1935 in Littlefield, Lamb County, Texas; married Nov 26, 1877, Hamilton Co. to
Temuel D. Reed, b July 17, 1846, Mt. Enterprise, Rusk County, Texas.
(5) Louisa M. Montgomery, b. Aug 16, 1861, d. May 25, 1929 in

Gravesite Details

Original 1884 headstone appears to be knocked off the base and resting face up on the ground. Cracked. Mary Ann Montgomery's name is also included on the tall headstone for spouse William Martin Montgomery, likely created in or shortly after 1894.
