Outlaw and Member of the James Gang. Pence was in Samuels Depot, Kentucky with when William C. Quantrill was killed. On July 26, 1865, Bud, surrended to Union soldiers in Samuels Depot, Kentucky. The Bank in Liberty, Missouri was robbed at 2:00 pm on Feburary 13,1866. Pence was accused of being one of the robbers. This turned out to be one of the nations first successful daylight bank robberies during peacetime.
