Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) - August 8, 1996. Deceased Name: DEATH: HAROLD WILLIAM BLOMQUIST. Our beloved father, grandfather, and "Grampa-Great" passed away on August 5, 1996. Harold was born on October 12, 1901 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Karl and Alice Theresa Blomquist. He married Hazel Mitchell Richardson on November 3, 1925, which marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 22, 1926. They had two sons, the late William Harold "Bill" Blomquist and Richard Wallis Blomquist. She preceded him in death, February 2, 1981. He was a cement finisher by trade, and enjoyed keeping a beautiful garden. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He was a caring husband, father, neighbor and friend who always looked out for others' needs. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Harold is survived by his son, Richard; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 10, 1996, 11 a.m., Wells Ward Chapel, 1990 So. 500 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple, Friday 6-8 p.m. and at the church Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
