Mrs. Mary Lucinda Cook, 69, wife of John U Cook, died at her home in Cashtown, Wednesday evening at 9:15, after an illness of four weeks from a complication of diseases.
She was a daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Peter Moritz, and was a native of Franklin township, having lived in Cashtown for the last 16 years. She was married to Mr. Cook November 30, 1880, by the Rev. Mr. Blackwelder, then pastor of Flohr’s church.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. John A Snyder, Harney; Mrs. Charles Stoner, Fairfield; Miss Belva A Cook, at home; three sons, Robert M, Biglerville; E B Cook, Cashtown; J Howard, Hilltown; two sisters, Mrs. F R Hubbard Blockton, Iowa; Mrs. H S Lauver, Orrtanna R D; one brother, Jacob Moritz, Thornton, Iowa, and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Cook home, the Rev. Dr. D.T. Koser, Gettysburg, officiating. Interment at Flohr’s church cemetery.
