ELKTON - William Henry (Willie) Davis, 79, a Rt. 2, Elkton farmer, died Sunday evening at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Davis had been admitted to the hospital Sunday morning.

He was born near Elkton, September 15, 1892, and was a son of the late Henry and Rebecca Comer Davis.

His wife, Mrs. Dena Davis, died several years ago.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carroll Monger, of Elkton; a son, Ludwig Davis, of Elkton; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Archie Foltz, of Powhatan, Mrs. Minor Turner, of Elkton, and Mrs. Cora Bear, of New York City; and three brothers, M. J. Davis, of Richmond, and Vernon and Leon Davis, both of Elkton.

The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Church of Christ, near Mr. Davis' home, by the Rev.
S. E. Madren. Burial will be in Elk Run Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ray and Clyde Jenkins, Arnold, Owen and Vernon Davis, Jr. and Henry Turner.

The body is at the Brill Funeral Home in Elkton, where the family will receive friends 7 - 8 p.m. Tuesday. Relatives will meet at Mrs. Carroll Monger's home 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
