Rosary for Mrs. Bess Alderson Savage, 70, Flat, Alaska, will be said at 8 o'clock tonight in the Fisher-Kalfus chapel. Requiem Mass will be said at 9 o'clock tomorrow forenoon in St. James' Cathedral. Burial will be in Holyrood.
Mrs. Savage died September 12 in Portland, Ore. She was the wife of Patrick Savage, Flat gold miner. The funeral was delayed until her husband could leave Alaska.
Mrs. Savage, born in Chambers, Neb., was graduated from the University of Wisconsin. A former elementary schoolteacher, she went to Flat in 1922. She was a life member of the Ladies' Auxiliary, Pioneers of Alaska. She had lived in Seattle during winter seasons since 1934.
Surviving besides Mr. Savage are two sisters, Mrs. John Ogriz, Flat, and Ruth Alderson, El Paso, Tex., and five brothers, William A. Alderson, Boise, Idaho; Ralph M. Alderson, Flat; John R. Alderson, Salem, Ore.; Guy A. Alderson, Tilden, Neb., and Thomas E. Alderson, Chambers.
