RICHARD - Funeral services for Orice Bellard, 83, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at St.Edwards Church in Richard.
Mr. Bellard died at 6 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2002 in Veterans Administration Hospital in Alexandria. Rev. Dan Edward will conduct the services.
Survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. Milton (Odile) Vanicor of Welsh and Joyce B. Faul of Church Point; one brother, Laurent and Wilda Bellard Jr. of Eunice; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bellard is preceded in death by: his wife, Rena Bellard; his parents, Laurent and Ernestine Bellard Sr.; two sisters, Amy Doucet and Ruby Hay.
Mr. Bellard was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He received the Purple Heart medal. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and also the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
