On August 2, 1968 he married Linda Shoemaker at Wolsey, SD, and had a daughter, Melissa (Johnson).
On May 7, 1983 he married Shelia Hill at Castle Rock, CO. Trevor and Shelia had a daughter, Lacey, and a son, Levi. They lived in Colorado and Texas before returning to Aberdeen in 1990.
Trevor remained active as a leader in 4H, through rodeos, horseshows, and teaching his children and grandchildren. He shared his love of horses with others by showing and training horses, announcing horseshows, team penning, and rodeos.
A rancher at heart, Trevor also became an auctioneer, a brand inspector, and owned Anderson Saddlery, where he sold, repaired and built saddles, and tack, and did custom leatherwork. Trevor always enjoyed working with his hands and visiting with the customers.
Trevor especially enjoyed spending time with his family, having cookouts, bon fires, and playing with his grandchildren. He could usually be found humming or singing an old country song while working around his shop and farm. He liked to find a shady spot under a tree to rest after a day's work.
Grateful for having shared Trevor's life are his wife, Shelia Anderson, Aberdeen, children, Melissa (Sean) Johnson, Aberdeen, Lacey Anderson (Tim Mehlhaff), Aberdeen, Levi Anderson (Samantha Drobny), Mansfield, SD, grandchildren, Jordan Johnson, Erin Johnson, Keeley Beck, mother, Doris Anderson, Rosholt, SD, brothers, Trent (Teresa) Anderson, New Brighton, MN, Todd Anderson, Wasilla, AK, Leon (Jill) Anderson, Rosholt, SD, Brian (Joan) Anderson, Rosholt, SD, sister, Teresa Anderson, Spearfish, SD, and 14 nieces and nephews.

When they lay me down to rest, put my spurs and rope upon my chest. Get my friends to carry me, then go turn my horses free.
