Mrs. Amy Gustava "Gussie" Carnal 98, of Hanson, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.
She was born March 9, 1913 in Hopkins Co., KY to the late James Montgomery Hall and Paulina Lindsey Hall.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James D. "J.D." Carnal; one daughter, June Crowley and two sisters, Bertha Ashby and Earnestine Dame.
Mrs. Carnal was a member of the First Baptist Church in Madisonville and a former member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Hanson.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Cris and Greg Crowley both of Slaughters; one great grandchild, David Crowley of Louisville and one niece, Kathryn Rudd of Hanson.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday April 22, 2011 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Jim McMurtrie officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Olive Branch Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
